Nick Tart from JuniorBiz just interviewed me for his brand new book called 50 Young Entrepreneurs! I was lucky enough to meet him in Washington D.C. when I was at Underground 6 seminar for my young entrepreneur scholarship. Anyway, make sure to check out his site, he has many great interviews on there and I know for a fact you’ll like them!
Here’s the video interview with the transcribed (Excerpt) below. You need to buy the book to get the full one.

When Adam Horwitz was a 15 year old high school sophomore growing up in the Pacific Palisades, a mean-spirited gossip blog caught fire with his classmates. Concerned parents soon stomped it out, but Adamís newfound desire to find online success would prove much harder to extinguish.
He started Urban Stomp, a website where he posted music and the locations of parties in the area. The site made a profit by selling clothes through affiliate links. Adam proved too successful for his own good: Urban Stomp drove 800 people to one party. He had to shut it down after only a few weeks.
Adam has learned from his mistakes and now teaches people age 15 and older how to make money online. He practices what he preaches: his courses, Tycoon Cash Flow and Cell Phone Treasureí, have each earned over $100,000 and he has another one in the works, called Dude I Hate My Jobí. To get his blood flowing, Adam enjoys driving his newly-purchased 2010 Audi A5 and playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 on his Xbox 360.
Q: What challenges did you face specifically because of your age? Conversely, how do you think that your age has helped you to succeed?
A: People didnít believe me at first. Even my friends were so stereotyped into thinking that you canít do anything when youíre young ñ that you have to wait until youíre older and have a degree to actually become successful. So, whenever I would tell people, ìIím doing this,î they wouldnít take it seriously. Now that I have my Audi A5, everyoneís jumping on the bandwagon.
Age also has its benefits. For instance, I use my age as a marketing advantage. I can target younger people. Iím 18 years old. I say, ìIf Iím 18 years old, you could be doing the same thing no matter how old you are.î
When youíre young, what do you have to lose? Youíre still living at home. You donít have 50 bills you have to cover. All youíve got to do is cover your late night dinners and your pizzas and all that. If everything completely fails, youíre still at school. Youíre still going to get your degree. So, it doesnít matter as long as you have fun doing it, work your way up, and stay dedicated. Thereís no real loss. Enjoy the way up.
Iím living at home still. I donít have to pay for rent or anything, so I can just put it in the bank. Thatís really a big benefit: building up equity. Stay at home as long as you possibly can, even if youíre making a lot of money. Donít stay until youíre 30, though [laughs]. And if youíre 60, youíve got to be out.
Q: What advice would you give an up-and-coming entrepreneur?
A: Even if you fail the first time, who cares? Whatís going to happen? Youíre young. The worst thing that could happen to you is that you wake up and go to school the next day. So just keep at whatever youíre doing and I promise you youíll hit it. Itís all about perseverance.
Entrepreneurs have this thing inside of them where they donít necessarily give up very easily. But [a lot of] people have the mindset from the media that they could get rich overnight. Itís possible to do anything, but you have to keep working at it. If you give up, then whatís going to happen? Youíre just going to sit there and wonder what would have happened a year down the road if you had kept doing it.
Maybe the idea you had will have been taken by another entrepreneur. I think it has been proven that whenever you have a really good idea, there are at least three or four people in the world that have the exact same idea at the exact same time as you. There are a lot of entrepreneurs out there. So, if youíre not going to do it, theyíre going to do it.
Q: Anything else you would like to add?
A: Donít listen to what other people say. If youíre a young entrepreneur and youíre trying to make it big online, donít think that you canít do it. With the internet the way it is now, you can do anything. Even if everyone is saying, ìNo ñ it will never happen. Everything online is a scam!î Honestly: just screw them. Check them out of your mind and go for it. Thatís what I did and Iím doing well, I think.
That’s it! I hope you enjoyed it.
